Howdy folks. Been over year since I updated anything and much longer than that for anything cool. Well I been doing some iPhone stuff for the past few months now and if you haven't already jailbroken your phone, you need to! Its the way the phone should have been sold to begin with. Allot of tweaks and hacks for your daily needs.
If you have already updated to 4.0.2 then you are to late to jailbreak at this moment. iOS 4.1 is scheduled to be released on Wednesday the 8th 2010. Hard telling how long it will take for a jailbreak to be for this os though.
The very FIRST THING is backup your iPhone. I have the iphone 4 32gb and when I JB'd my phone, it went fine until I rebooted and it locked up at the Apple start logo of death or ASLOD. But I restored completely, rejailbroke and it went fine and sweet. I have helped many jb and only one other person had the same issue I had.
If you have 4.0.1 and lower (Even to the 3.0+ os's) you can Jailbreak straight from your phone. Just open up your safari and point to
www.jailbreakme.com and follow the instruction.
First thing "after" its jailbroken you will need to open up cydia and then go to manage at the bottom, then touch on sources and add these sources.

After all these repo's are setup click Done then click on Sections.
Go down to Repositories and you will want to install "All Sources" which should be the top Package option.
After that you'll want to make sure you install "AppSync" per your os of 3.0+ or 4.0+ so you can sync your apps to itunes, "CyDelete" so you can delete Cydia apps/hacks, "dTunes" to play music, "iAdKiller" to kill those iads all over the place, "iFile" for exploring files on your iPhone, "Installous" to beta test app store apps, "Krytes" another App installer, "AppCake" Another app installer, "MetadataRemovr" keeps app store updates real, "My3g" use facetime with 3g, "MyWi" turn your iphone into a wireless router, "OpenSSH" to ssh into your phone for editing, "PDF Patch", "Rockapp(Elpelle6)" another cydia app hack app, "SBSettings" Awesome tweak much needed, "Veency" to vnc into your iphone, "WiFiFoFum" to detect all wireless access's around you, "Winterboard" for some awesome themes. There are a ton of other apps/hacks/tweaks but this is to get you started well.
And for SBSettings you can get several Toggles. Which you will probably want, "KeepAwake", "RemoveBG" removes all running task at once, "Rotation" keeps iPhone from rotating, "Safari DL", "Veency" to turn on/off VNC.
Here is the theme I am using which is the Kryptonite Theme which I found over at sinfuleiphone.com. Some great folks over there.

At least it past the time away even though I got no help on getting the Enterprise version to work. The Home version works on my machine here at work. :)
Oh and they do NOT time stamp there Live Chats either. Or at least not that the consumer can see. I wonder why. :)
